Demonstrating pollination using role play

This activity lets you demonstrate pollination in the classroom through role play. Ideal for physical and visual learners, pupils will observe a model of pollination by an insect. The activity provides an opportunity to re-visit the parts of a plant and flower and use subject specific vocabulary.

There are cross-curricular links to be had with D&T, Art and Drama.

You will need various items to represent the different parts of a flower and you also need props for a bee. You can follow some of the suggestions given in ‘Create a flower’ resource.
