Going on a treasure hunt
Resource
This activity provides children with the opportunity to explore the differences between objects that are alive, have never been alive or those that are dead. Children will learn that the objects all around them can be classified into groups. They will discover why some of their everyday objects, were once alive and what it means for something to be living.
This activity could be used to support learning in Year 2 when establishing what’s dead, alive and never been alive as well as in early key stage two to support the learning of classification.
