Student Projects - Investigations with Lemna Minor

This is a SAPS student project starter, for Biology students studying A-levels, Scottish Highers and IB who are planning their independent investigation or extended project. It contains ideas for investigations on a topic, and outlines of the scientific techniques needed for these investigations.

Duckweeds look like simple plants: small, green, and with no flowers. But this simplicity makes them ideal experimental organisms for labs, or for your own investigations. Using duckweeds, you can investigate a variety of environmental topics, including pollution, competition, and many more.
